Dining In

When you book Paradise at the Plantation you will have no need to eat every meal out, unless you so choose.  If you are like us and have small kids, its not always realistic or convenient to eat out for each meal so here are some helpful shopping alternatives that you can consider prior to arrival at Paradise at the Plantation, your home base.  Food on Kauai can be expensive so we have included some cost saving tips below so that you can be thoughtful about how you spend those hard earned vacation dollars. You can be assured that our home has a fully equipped kitchen and electric BBQ on the lanai and shared community BBQ's in the community pool area.

Farmers Market

Kauai is famous for its farmers markets island wide. You will love everything from the papaya to the local artisan jewelry.  A favorite of the locals and visitors alike.

Tip:  Arrive a bit early to get the best selection of produce and one of a kind souveniers!

The Foodland grocery store is located at the Princeville Center just a short five minute drive from Paradise at the Plantation.  Foodland is the largest grocery store serving Kauai's north shore.

TIP: Don't forget to sign up for Foodland's Maika'i cards during your stay for everyday discounts.  Trust me, it's worth it.

Costco is located about ten minutes from the Lihue airport so I always recommend that my guests stop at cCostco  prior to heading to Paradise at Plantation to stock up on bulk items during their stay.

TIP:  Costco is great for purchasing items in bulk during your stay.  Food is expensive on Kauai so stock up on bottled water, beer, wine, fruit, vegetables.
